Hamas wordt steeds genoemd als radicale partij met wie geen vredesoverleg mogelijk is. Maar is dat zo? Wij analyseren het daadwerkelijke gedrag vanaf vorig jaar.

De gebeurtenissen in Libanon roepen steeds meer vragen op. Het met de grond gelijk maken van Nahr al Bared lijkt door iedereen in mindere of meerdere mate gesteund te worden: alle Libanese partijen inclusief Hezbollah en de Communistische Partij, de PLO, Hamas, uiteraard de Westerse landen en Soennitische golfstaten, etc.. Het kleine beetje kritiek dat Hezbollah geeft moet gezien worden in een machtspolitiek spel om de regering te verzwakken. Nergens in Libanon, op die van een aantal kleine NGO's en enkele individuen na, is er werkelijke steun voor de Palestijnense slachtoffers.
